Home Gyms eliminate the hassle of getting yourself to a commercial
gym and the safety issue like working with free weights without
a spotter, making them wildly popular. The convenience of working
out where and whenever you feel like it is a strong incentive
to keep you to your fitness program than a gym membership is.
The
name, Weider, is basically the equivalent term for weight
training and bodybuilding in general. It has a reputation
as the industry leader in strength training equipment and
manufactures Weider home gyms, which are a safe and sensible
choice. Despite the hundreds of home gyms available today,
Weider still stands out from the crowd for its effectiveness
and quality.
Having been around for quite some time, Weider
has designed an extensive selection of home gyms. The few
mentioned in this article are by no means the complete list
of their selection. We have tried to bring you the broadest
range of Weider home gyms that will cater to different needs
and budgets. So please be sure to research as many Weider
home gyms, and those of competing brands, before making any
decisions. The home gyms listed here are just a jumping off
point that will hopefully point you in the direction you need
to go...
If you're looking to buy on line, it's important
to consider that the listed price probably doesn't include
shipping, which can be quite pricey for a home gym... usually
around $150.00. However, purchasing on line or off line is
really very similar as off line retailers will also charge
you shipping for prices around the same. On line shopping
really only offers a convenience over going to the store...
so there isn't too big of a price difference.
The following produt links will direct you
to the SportsAuthority.com site. They are one of the most
well known and largest of sorts and fitness equipment retailers.
All of the prices for the following products include the approximate
shipping cost to give you a clearer idea of the overall prices
that you'll be looking at...
Weider Home Gyms to Consider
Weider
Pro 575 Home Gym
A unique home gym in that you can add your own weight as required.
Weight plates, which cost a little extra, can be added to
increase tension and resistance. It resembles a smith machine,
but has a higher pulley attachment for lat pulls, triceps
pushdowns... It also inclues a low pulley for bicep curls,
leg extensions, upright rowing... It's ideal for pressing
and this unit is aimed towards more experienced weight lifters
who don't mind paying the extra cost for being able to adjust
the weights.

9400 Systems Gym
A larger home gym that will need a little extra space, this
two weight stack unit can accommodate two people at one time.
Although realistically, one person could be resting while
the other did their set of exercises. The Weider 9400 includes
all of the conventional exercises, wich are catered to with
7 stations and more than 30 exercises. Although no lower pulley
is included, this unique machine includes a leg press which
is always preferable to simple leg extensions. The weight
amount is adequate for toning, but will not be enough if you're
looking to body build.

16.6ST Systems Gym
(Our Pick)
You'll find just a quality "conventional" home gym
with the 16.6ST. An extremely popular choice, and with good
reason. It offers you the ability to perform a ton of exercises
with a smaller "space saving" construct. Workouts
even including rowing and hip exercises. Also worth mentioning
about this machine is the excellent assembly instructions;
very straight forward. At about $600 the 16.6ST is definitely
worth looking into.
